How to set up FeedBurner?

Hey everybody,

I have no idea how to set up FeedBurner site statistics on this WordPress.com hosted blog. When I try to install it on this blog, it just says “Note: The following instructions are not for use with blogs hosted WordPress.com or any WordPress MU–powered installation.” What the hell? How do I set this up?

If anyone knows, could they please post here?

EDIT: Just to clarify, I mean the site statistics, not the feed statistics.

Before last saturday, I had about 5 RSS feeds that I would regularly check; TUAW, MacRumors, 9 to 5 Mac, Gizmodo Australia and The Joy of Tech. This all seemed fine to me, until I found Times, which came with a kagillion feeds built in. I liked it. So since the weekend I’ve been trying my best to organize my new feeds into folders. For whatever reason, I had to go on Google Reader, and thought I may as well check their so called ‘Bundles’ of feeds that come in categories. My eyes obviously went to the ‘Geeky’ bundle and I had a look in it. Up came five feeds – Cool Tools, Lifehacker, PVRblog, Penny Arcade and… wait for it… MAKE Magazine. MAKE Magazine? Wouldn’t that go under the ‘thinkers’ section?

Who else thinks that’s a bit off?

PS: There’s also a Google-related bundle, a bit self-indulgent methinks!

Barcelona smash Valencia 6-0

Some truly abject defending from Valencia – and some fine attacking from Barcelona – saw the visitors leave Camp Nou with an utter rout on their conscience.

It was a cathartic display from the blaugrana. They came into this match off the back of 405 minutes without a goal, but rectified the situation within two, and scarcely let go from there. Too little, too late? Undoubtedly, but it was encouraging stuff nonetheless.

When my brother told me this, I couldn’t believe it. He told me to check Goal.com and WHAT? Barcelona blitz six past Valencia? No, this couldn’t be true. After about 3 games without scoring, they scored six in one!

I just wish they could do it every match… or at least before after the season has ended! (If you didn’t know, Real Madrid beat Osasuna 2.1 to win their 31st La Liga title.)

Damn homework!

I have to leave half an hour early today for school, because I left my books in my locker, which I had homework for. To make things worse, it’s before recess, meaning I have to do it before school. So I’m leaving at 7:50 to get to school, and hopefully get my books out of my locker and go to the library to finish them.

Saints beat Tigers by 3 points in a thriller

You just had to see it. With about a minute to go, Saints were up by 4 points. But then young Tiger Jack Riewoldt marked 45 metres out, directly in front. He took the kick, and it looked like it was going in. But bang! it hit the post. Deja vu? So it was the Saints by 3 points. Then Jack Riewoldt got it again, about 52 metres out, directly in front. But it was too far out for the 19 year-old, who couldn’t make the distance. So it was the Saints by 3 points.

Richmond vs St Kilda

So the Richmond vs St Kilda game just started, and I’ve tipped the Tigers, because the Saints just don’t seem confident in their gameplay. I think the Tigers are coming back, and even if it isn’t this year, they’re coming back. I say Richmond by 3 goals. Deledio best on ground.

Anyway, I’m off to watch it on the telly. I’ll update after the game.

Times by Acrylic Software

Today I came to terms with Times, a new RSS reader made by Acrylic Software. It breaks up your feeds into pages, such as Sport (you would have Goal.com, Uefa.com etc.), Technology, World, Science and etc. It combines some of Apple’s technologies such as Core Image, Core Animation and WebKit. It feels so well thought out, that I think Apple could release it. Sure, that’s a pretty bold statement, and it is at Version 1.0, but I reckon with a little work, it can beat NewsFire and NetNewsWire. It uses Page curls and Slides, and even the animation that happens when you swap Spaces in Leopard.

I think this is a fantastic app, and although this is a 1.0 version, I see a lot of potential.

Cold. Damn cold.

Okay, as I sit in my bedroom typing this blog post on the best laptop I’ve ever used (super-sturdy) in my favourite web browser, while listening to the MP3 stream of Triple J on iTunes (which is going swimmingly, thanks for asking), I feel a gush of cold air come from the window. But it’s closed. What? It’s closed, but it’s still gushing with cold air.

I decide to turn on the ducted heating. I haven’t even felt it yet (I wish Blogger supported emoticons, I wish), and I’m still cold. Sure, I’ve got my wooly jumper on and nice school trousers, but I’m still cold. How will I get through this disastrous situation? I’ll post later with updates…

UPDATE: I’ve now ingeniously came up with a way of getting warm (I realised it was just my face that was cold), and that is to put the collar of my jumper up above my ears, making my ears warmer!

Barcelona lose to Manchester United -Argh.

This morning, Barcelona lost to Manchester United – giving the Champions League an EPL final. Scholes had a smashing half volley into the top corner at 14 minutes, and Barca never replied. Now what is decided is just if Manchester play either Liverpool or Chelsea.

Let’s wait and see. But for now it’s just…

UPDATE: Chelsea beat Liverpool in the second leg of the Semi Final and will play Manchester in Moscow for the title. The Blues beat the Reds 3-2 in extra time (It was 1-1 after normal time).
